this is just what i did entill 50rc so don't flame me about it 
ok so start out in fally and runecraft air runes 1-30, you will need about 2.7k rune ess.
next go to the east part of varrock and make your way to the earth alter and craft earth runes from 30-40, you will need around 3.7k rune ess.
after that you can do it 2 ways, the fast way (body tiaras) or slower(body runes).
tairas = 1.7k of them which will be "very" costly, runes = 8.5k of them alot lower in cost though.
A diffrent way is to craft air runes all the way to 50, but it will take 20k rune essence! however u do make profit along the way!
runecrafting can be very excepensive but a great money maker to. for members i sudgest the ring of dueling and fire rune way, get a ring of duel and tele to dueling arena and run i think north entill u reach the alter, craft and then tele to castle wars and bank and repeat
